Items in stock ordered before noon, Pacific Time, are usually shipped the same day. Delivery How long the order takes to reach you depends on the shipping method you choose. An information field titled “usual days to ship” beneath each item description gives our estimate of how long after you order we expect to be able to ship the item to you. If the number “1” appears in this field, we normally carry this item in stock, but the web site is not updated for out-of-stock situations. If the number of days to ship is expected to be significantly longer than this “usual days to ship” figure our policy is to call or e-mail you about the delay. If time is critical to your needs, and you must be sure the item is in stock and can be shipped to meet your deadline requirements, we suggest you call the store directly to confirm the essential details, rather than ordering online. Once the item has been shipped, time in transit to reach you depends on the delivery method you choose. We ship Monday through Friday, and offer a full range of shipping options ranging from ground freight to next-day air delivery.
It is not Captain’s policy to profit from shipping and packaging charges. Sophisticated software links enable us to quote actual shipping charges at the time you order, based on the real cost according to weight, distance, and shipping method, rather than estimating based on dollar amount of the order. This way, customers who order expensive, light-weight items are not subsidizing shipping for customers ordering heavy, inexpensive items.
