The Martinique Collection
The Martiniqueª series is popular because the movement and dial are mounted on the hinged bezel enabling the user to gain instant access to the back of the movement to change a battery, set the time, silence the bells, or set the barometer. A Twist-lock latching dog reminiscent of sailing ship portholes secures the bezel closed, but enables speedy access. On the 8-day key wound clock this system provides quick access to the clock dial to wind, silence the bells, or set the time. This eliminates unscrewing and rethreading a screw-on bezel.
This collection features the same precision movements as our other Weems & Plath instruments. The hinged bezel case is constructed of high quality solid cast brass with a flawless coat of lacquer to ensure a lasting shine. The instruments in the Flag Collection have striking full color signal flags against a traditional white dial background. Each instrument is provided with complete instructions, mounting hardware, and a fresh battery as required. All instruments carry a lifetime warranty, except the quartz ship's bell clock, which carries a two-year warranty.

Tide & Time Clock

High Sensitivity Barometer
Captains has tested this barometer and finds it to have a sensitive, accurate, well temperature compensated, German made movement. Includes both inch and millibar scales. Comes with a factory certificate of accurdacy within 0.2% of real pressure. An expanded scale ranging from 28.5 to 30.5 inches of mercury exaggerates needle movement making a samll change in pressure much more noticeable. Barometer / Thermometer
This model adds a graceful curved-tube thermometer to the barometer dial. Captains has tested this barometer and finds it to have a sensitive, accurate, well temperature compensated, German made movement, but not as sensitive nor accurate as the "hi-Sensitiv" model. Includes both inch and millibar scales. Adjustible and calibrated for altitudes up to 3500 feet above sea level.
