Entirely built and designed in the United States, except for the eyepeice. Standard equipment includes a 32 mm Konig eyepiece in a two inch format. In combination with the 3.1 inch (80 mm) objective lens provides a crisp, clear, wide field of view -- all the way to the edge of the image -- at 28 power magnification. 150 power is practical with alternate eyepieces available.
The Baywatch is NOT even similar to the flood of spindly, elegant-looking reproductions of antique brass telescopes being made in China and India of thin-wall brass tube, and with inexpensive green tinted plate glass optical elements giving poor viewing performance. There is no comparison The Baywatch is 40 inches long and weighs 38 pounds without the tripod. It is shipped in a wooden carrying crate.
